The emerging industrial hemp industry have varietal trials in every state, and the Northern Territory in Australia.  Farmers interested in growing the crop are invited to inspect the sites at a series of field days planned for 2024.

The Kununurra event will be held on Thursday, 20 June 2024 at 10am AEST.

The IHVT research program aims to provide growers with information about the performance of grain-only and dual-purpose (grain and fibre) industrial hemp varieties suited to specific climatic and geographic locations within Australia.

This will be the last year of national IHVT field days in each state so be sure to visit your local site! As part of the five-year Hemp Program of Research, from July 2024, we are shifting our approach to concentrate on a smaller number of key sites.
