What Our Node Managers Do
Node Managers are the Northern Hub’s on‑the‑ground representatives, based in the regions they serve. They work directly with landholders and local organisations to strengthen resilience to drought and a changing climate.
They’re employed through trusted partner organisations, forming a network that brings local knowledge, industry experience and community connection into the Hub’s work.
Connecting Regions with Knowledge
Node Managers represent the Northern Hub at events across their region. They’re equipped to share updates on Hub projects, Future Drought Fund (FDF) initiatives, and other programs that support agricultural and community resilience. By doing this, they help connect people with practical tools, opportunities and resources.
Delivering Projects Locally
Node Managers play a hands‑on role in delivering Hub activities — from workshops and field days to extension events and community engagement. Their local presence ensures projects are relevant, accessible and grounded in regional needs.
Identifying New Opportunities
They also keep an eye out for what’s needed next. Whether it’s a new project idea, a gap in extension materials or a chance to collaborate, Node Managers help shape initiatives that build drought preparedness and long‑term climate resilience in their region.
