An Invitation to Strengthen Our Community: The Northern Hub Pillar Steering Committees

Charles Darwin University, a beacon of knowledge and research in Northern Australia, is proud to host the Northern Hub. This initiative is a part of the broader national effort towards drought resilience and innovation, specifically focusing on the unique challenges and opportunities in our region. The Northern Hub aims to connect local farmers, pastoralists, and communities with innovative technologies, research, and practices to enhance sustainability and resilience against drought.

We’re excited to announce an opportunity for experts, enthusiasts, and community members to contribute directly to this mission. The Northern Hub invites quotes for the establishment of Pillar Steering Committees (PSCs) for four critical areas: Human Capacity, Resilient Landscapes, Natural Capital, and Preparation & Planning. These committees will play a pivotal role in guiding the Hub’s activities and funding allocations, ensuring that our efforts are strategic, impactful, and aligned with the needs of our community.

The process is straightforward and inclusive. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their quotes by 5:00 pm Australian Central Standard Time on Friday, 5 April 2024. This is a unique chance to shape the future of our region, to ensure that we’re not just surviving but thriving in the face of challenges.

For those interested, the full Request for Tender details, including the scope of work, project outcomes, and evaluation criteria, are available for review. Let’s come together to build a resilient and prosperous Northern Australia.
