On Farm Connectivity: Empowering Primary Producers with Rebates on Innovative Equipment
As part of our ongoing commitment to support the agricultural community, the Northern Hub is thrilled to announce the On Farm Connectivity Program. This initiative is a cornerstone of an effort to drive technological adoption and ensure sustainability across farms in the Northern Territory.
Over the next two years, the program will provide financial incentives to primary producers looking to enhance their operations through digital technology. With a generous rebate covering up to 50% of the cost of eligible equipment, farmers and pastoralists can now access up to $30,000 to invest in tools that boost productivity and ensure safety on the farm.
The program’s objectives are clear: to extend digital connectivity, enhance the capacity for implementing agribusiness solutions, and capitalise on the agricultural sector’s potential for growth. By supporting access to new communications equipment, the aim is to increase investment in technology that will drive the industry forward, improve on-farm safety, and expand the use of advanced farming technology.
Eligibility for the rebate begins with a minimum amount of $3,000, ensuring that even smaller farms can benefit from this opportunity. For larger operations, the potential to claim rebates on multiple properties adds even greater value. The message is clear – no matter the size of your enterprise, there’s never been a better time to explore how technology can reshape your farming practices for the better.
We invite all eligible primary producers to review the guidelines below, assess the list of eligible equipment, and take the first step towards a more connected, productive, and resilient future.
Together, we can cultivate a landscape of innovation that stands the test of time and weather. Join us on this journey to a better future for agriculture in the Northern Territory.
